Michael Mandrel, well known for his flamboyant, motivating and inspirational teaching techniques, is profoundly known on the Salsa scene in the UK. Since humbly beginning his quest to teach Salsa dance, he has increasingly gained a glowing reputation for his dedication, patience, fun and passionate persona as a teacher as well as his inspiring talent. A professional dancer and devoted teacher, Michael comes well experienced in teaching adults as well as children, and has seen many of his students graduate to startling performers.
Michael Mandrel, co-founder and principal dance director of KISS lives in London where he has been teaching since the year 2000. He is well known for his success and founding of Rueda UK. An organisation promoting the ostentatious and exciting dance discipline named ‘La Rueda de Casino’.
Established on the Salsa scene since winning the 2003 Tropicana World Rueda Championships, Michael continues to diligently run classes in Central and Greater London, working along side prominent promoters at events and weekend congresses. Since the year 2000, his exploits have progressively led him to work with many promoters including Hot Salsa, Ola Latino, Mambo City, Salsa Calientita, Salsa Chill Out, Salsa Cubana, Salsa Explosion, Salsa Republic, Salsa Nites and Simply Salsa. He still remains Salsa Republic’s foremost resident teacher.
His aim and objective for 2009 is to establish KISS as a recognised dance club, providing authentic structured salsa classes in a warm and friendly place for people to meet and socialise.
